Keyboard shortcuts dramatically speed up your workflow by letting you control Sample Vault without reaching for your mouse.

Global Shortcut

Open Assistant Shortcut: This works even when Sample Vault isn’t the active window. Press your custom shortcut (like Ctrl+Shift+S) and Sample Vault will pop up and focus on the AI assistant, ready for your query. Setting it up:

Click in shortcut field

Navigate to Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts and click in the shortcut input field

Press your keys

Press up to 3 keys (like Ctrl+Shift+S)

Auto-save

Your shortcut is saved automatically
Use case: You’re in your DAW working on a track, realize you need a specific type of hi-hat, press your shortcut, and immediately ask the assistant “find me some crispy hi-hats with a lot of high-end.”

Workflow Benefits

Instead of clicking through results one by one, you can audition samples rapidly using just 1-2-3 keys. This is especially powerful when browsing through hundreds of samples - you can quickly skip through them to find exactly what you need.
When you’re focused on listening to samples, you can minimize distractions by using keyboard shortcuts exclusively. Navigate, play, and browse without ever touching your mouse.
