Waveform Visualizer

The Waveform Visualizer panel provides a detailed, interactive view of the currently playing sample. Open it as a tab in your dock layout.

Controls

  • Seek: Click anywhere on the waveform to jump playback to that position
  • Zoom: Scroll to zoom in and out — zoom is anchored to your cursor position
  • Pan: Shift+scroll (or horizontal trackpad scroll) to pan left and right across the waveform

Tempo Sync

Enable Tempo Sync to replace the default time ruler with beat and bar markers aligned to the sample’s detected BPM. This makes it easy to see musical structure — bars, beats, and subdivisions — directly on the waveform.
Tempo Sync requires the sample to have a detected BPM. Samples without tempo metadata will display the standard time ruler.

Rendering

The visualizer uses a multi-LOD (level of detail) WebGL2 rendering pipeline. At high zoom levels, sinc interpolation preserves accurate waveform shape down to individual samples. The display stays smooth whether you’re viewing the full waveform or zoomed in to inspect transients.
