Overview
The Waveform Visualizer panel provides a detailed, interactive view of the currently playing sample. Open it as a tab in your dock layout.Controls
- Seek: Click anywhere on the waveform to jump playback to that position
- Zoom: Scroll to zoom in and out — zoom is anchored to your cursor position
- Pan: Shift+scroll (or horizontal trackpad scroll) to pan left and right across the waveform
Regions
Drag across the waveform to select a region. The region plays on its own — playback starts at its beginning and stays inside it, so you can audition a hit or a phrase in isolation. Drag either edge to adjust it. Clicking inside the region seeks within it; clicking outside clears it and returns to full-track playback. Right-click a region to act on it:- Copy to clipboard: Copies the region as an audio file, ready to paste into your DAW or file manager
- Save in Sample Vault: Bounces the region into your library as a new sample under a Captures source, analyzed and searchable like any other sample
Copying and saving regions are available in the desktop app.
Tempo Sync
Enable Tempo Sync to replace the default time ruler with beat and bar markers aligned to the sample’s detected BPM. This makes it easy to see musical structure — bars, beats, and subdivisions — directly on the waveform.Tempo Sync requires the sample to have a detected BPM. Samples without tempo metadata will display the standard time ruler.
